We are seeking 2 innovative, enthusiastic case workers to work at the newly established Fairfield Women’s Health Service.

Two Part time positions at Fairfield Women’s Health Service are available: 

  1. Vietnamese speaking caseworker (3 days)
  2. Arabic speaking caseworker (2 days)

About us

Bankstown women’s health Centre provide treatment  and prevention programs and services regarding mental health issues, support and treat issues of domestic and family violence, provide prevention programs and services  to reduce disease and illness and provide programs and services to delay or prevent chronic disease.  Practitioners onsite include trauma informed counsellors, Caseworkers, Dietician and Nurse.

Position details
Essential Selection Criteria:
  • Commitment to feminist philosophy and principles
     
  • Demonstrated experience working with Refugee and Immigrant Women 
     
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
     
  • Being a female is a genuine requirement of this position Under Sec 31(2) of the Anti-Discrimination Act to be a woman is a genuine occupational requirement for this position
     
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups of women and understanding of issues which affect women from diverse backgrounds
     
  • Demonstrated case work skills
     
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and time manage workload
     
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field
     
  • Demonstrated communication skills,  both verbal and written
     
  • Computer literacy
     
  • Bilingual
     
  • Driver’s license and comprehensive car insurance 
     
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Criminal Record Check
