  • 4 hours per day 4 days a week - Campbelltown (Flexible working hours around start and finish time and days worked)
  • SCHADS Award Level 3 (Pay point to be negotiated)
Odyssey House NSW is a not for profit organisation that offers a diverse range of Residential and Community Services for those affected by the complexities of alcohol and other drugs.
 
We are seeking an innovative and passionate professional wanting a career in Community Services. The person who succeeds in obtaining this position will be responsible for conducting comprehensive phone and face to face assessments for people seeking to enter Odyssey House programs. A full orientation and training program will be provided. Experience working with a client data management system would be an advantage.

Position details
Essential Selection Criteria:
  • Minimum tertiary qualifications in Alcohol and Other Drugs, or equivalent;
  • Demonstrated experience working with culturally diverse, complex, coerced and co-morbid AOD / MH populations;
  • Demonstrated skills in comprehensive assessment that includes excellent verbal and written communication including experience with client data management systems
  • Knowledge and/or experience responding to clients in crisis (e.g. presenting suicide/self-harm);
  • Understanding of the principles of the Privacy Act and its practical implementation in service delivery;
  • Understanding of the principles of harm minimisation.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implement the principles of WHS, EEO and continuous Quality Improvement.

Successful applicants need to provide a current Criminal Record Check and a current Working with Children Check.
