Project Lead: Engaging Male Survivors with Disability
This position is part time (4 days per week) and is a fixed term contract until 30th June 2024.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Build the project from inception, including establishing co-design with service users and a steering group
- Identify & engage with key stakeholders
- Review and develop SAMSN’s existing services and resources to increase accessibility for male survivors with disability
- Develop services and resources to support supporters (family and friends)

- Work as part of the SAMSN team to fulfil SAMSN’s aims and values

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications and experience in training, community development, social work, or related disciplines
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s degree) in social work, social welfare, psychology, disability or related discipline;
- Knowledge and understanding of the dynamics and impacts of child sexual abuse across the lifespan
- Experience in supporting people with disability
Successful applicants will be required to have a current National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
- Demonstrated experience of working with trauma informed principles;
- Knowledge of and experience of dealing with organisations and systems that provide key services and referrals for people with disability
- Good verbal, written and cross-cultural communication skills;
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a project from inception to the end
Desirable Criteria
- NSW Driver's Licence;
- Experience working with male survivors and understanding of the specific impacts of CSA for men;
- Understanding of the NGO sector;
