About the role:

The Regional Care Manager is a leadership position responsible for day to day delivery of MCCI’s community-based aged care services to multicultural seniors, carers and communities within the Illawarra region.

The position is primarily responsible for:

·         Effectively oversee the My Aged Care portal and intake triage control for the geographic area to which the role applies

·         Exercise sound judgement in day to day decision-making consistent with MCCI’s delegations of authority, seeking guidance from the Executive Operations Manager where required

·         Ensure that all staff working in the defined geographic area are doing so in a manner that is consistent with MCCI’s external accreditation requirements and internal governance, policy and procedure requirements.

·         Ensure robust measures are maintained in respect of consumer safety, clinical care, support planning and choice, and culturally safe & respectful service delivery

·         Recommend and implement quality & continuous improvement strategies to assist MCCI to better meet the needs of consumers, carers, and communities

·         Handle routine feedback, complaints and incidents in line with MCCI policy.

About you

To be successful in this role you must have:

·         Recent experience, expertise and competence working in a team leadership or management role in a health or allied health management, aged or disability community care setting.

·         Demonstrated capacity to lead, plan and oversee the delivery of community care services consistent with the requirements of national quality standards

·         Demonstrated experience in successfully supervising, leading and supporting a diverse team of front-line staff, contractors and volunteers.

·         Demonstrated understanding of the needs of seniors from CALD backgrounds and a passion for working with multicultural communities.

·         Experience working with client management systems, including data management and reporting.

·         Prior demonstrated experience working independently within a delegated environment and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
