The core mission of Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty for children, young people, and families. We have a particular focus on serving vulnerable communities.

St Saviours Intensive Therapeutic Care service (ITC) provides a safe and nurturing environment for young people who may have complex behaviour and support needs. ITC provides an alternative to the long term model of care, focusing on recovery from trauma, the achievement of positive life outcomes, and a broad range of placement options for children and young people.

We are looking for a key person who would enjoy working in the human services sector and who has a desire to make positive changes in young people's lives. Our House Manager will know how to lead, manage, supervise and support staff, oversee and report on finances, liaise with external stakeholders and oversee all aspects of the management of a therapeutic residential service.

The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) has mandated minimum qualifications in ITC which are a prerequisite of this position. This offer and ongoing employment are contingent upon you meeting these requirements. You will need to hold a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or Diploma in Youth Work or Community Services and a commitment to commence a Bachelor's Degree. There are a range of opportunities for staff to undertake subsidised study through the Anglicare College. Knowledge of and experience in Permanency Support Program (Out Of Home Care), demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal young people and their families, excellent communication skills and a driver's license are also essential.

The salary range for this position is $73,170 - $77,260 per annum, plus 9.5% employer superannuation guarantee. Generous salary packaging benefits are available under Anglicare's PBI status. Anglicare also offers other benefits including additional personal leave and paid parental leave.

Applicants will be required to undertake the psychometric profiling instrument - SafeSelectTM. Applicants must obtain a Working With Children clearance through the Office of the Children's Guardian (NSW) and undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to an offer of employment.
