The EVAs - Excellence, Vision & Advocacy Awards

As part of NCOSS’ 90^th Anniversary celebrations in 2025, we’re launching the NCOSS Excellence, Vision & Advocacy Awards.

Known as the EVAs, the awards are a nod to social justice icon and former NCOSS CEO Eva Cox.  The EVAs recognise and honour the excellence, positive impact, vision, dedication, advocacy and courage of individuals and organisations in the NSW Social Service Sector.

We’ll celebrate:

1. Demonstrable innovation, creativity, or collaboration across any aspect of a program, service or an organisation’s operations;
2. Delivery of clear, measurable outcomes that show positive change in the community. This includes addressing social issues, enhancing quality of life, and contributing to community resilience and wellbeing;
3. Proactively adapting to emerging needs with forward-thinking, inclusive approaches;
4. Commitment to best practice, continuous improvement, and, where relevant, cultural safety and self-determination.

We’ll pay tribute to Award finalists and recipients at NCOSS’ 90^th Anniversary cocktail event on Tuesday 28 October 2025.
