After four years serving as NCOSS Chief Executive Officer, Tracy McLeod Howe has announced she will be resigning in July to take up the position of Chief Executive Officer of White Ribbon Australia.

The NCOSS Board would like to acknowledge the extraordinary contribution Tracy has made to NCOSS and congratulate her on this exciting new opportunity.

During her time as CEO Tracy has led a transformation of NCOSS, positioning it to be a dynamic, proactive and sustainable organisation able to respond to the challenging environment in which we operate.

With a strong focus on outcomes for people, Tracy has lead tireless advocacy that resulted in the establishment of NCOSS Women – taking two delegations to the Commission on the Status of Women, the Social and Affordable Housing fund and the Social Innovation Council.

She reinvigorated NCOSS’ engagement with communities right across NSW, recognising that it is communities themselves that best understand their challenges and the solutions needed to overcome them.

The NCOSS Board has already begun the process of identifying the best person to build on Tracy’s work and continue to take the organisation forward. The new CEO will join NCOSS at a perfect time to expand on the work we do together to see a NSW free from poverty and inequality.

Deputy CEO Melanie Fernandez will act in the CEO role from July until an appointment is made. A further announcement will be made in the near future.

We all wish Tracy the very best in her new role and thanking her for all her work.
