Changes to NSW incorporated associations laws
The Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW) has been amended and the 2010 Regulation replaced with the Associations Incorporation Regulation 2016 (NSW). The changes took effect on 1 September 2016. They include amendments to the model constitution, new matters that must be addressed in constitutions; enabling greater use of technology; clarification of the duties of committee members; and changes to the fee schedule. More detailed information on how this will impact on your association is available on the NFP Law Information Hub.
