Go to ACNC for the most up-to-date details on charities, not banks

The ACNC is aware that some banks and other financial intuitions still use the ASIC Company Register for information on registered charities and can be a source of difficulty for organisations. They have organised with ASIC to display a message on the records of registered charities, which directs users to the ACNC Charity Register for up-to-date details about directors and charity addresses.

They have also produced, in collabortation with ASIC. a brochure that explains to financial institutions the ACNC Register is the source of the most up-to-date information about registered charities.

ACNC also invites you to contact them at advice@acnc.gov.au if you have issues with specific banks or financial institutions, they will send a letter advising them that the ACNC Register is the source of information for registered charities.
