It has just been announced that targeted earlier intervention and intensive program funding has been extended to June 2017.  The Minister for Family and Community Services, Brad Hazzard made the announcement today to provide certainty for over 600 not-for-profit services in the community sector.  The timing means that organisations can plan to participate as partners in the reform process which will “bring about better outcomes for children and young people.”

NCOSS and the other peaks will continue to work with Government to develop a “a system that is flexible, localised and client-focused which we will develop in collaboration with the NGO sector and tapping into its enormous knowledge and common sense.”
