Police oversight
NCOSS recognises that access to justice is about more than a day in court.
We’ve been working with other stakeholders in the justice space to advocate for a stronger, fairer and simpler police oversight model – one that has real ability to investigate alleged misconduct or neglect of duty and strengthen community trust in the Police.
Earlier this year, NSW Premier the Hon. Mike Baird announced the appointment of Mr Andrew Tink AM, to lead a review of police oversight in NSW.
NCOSS has made written submissions to the review and met with Mr Tink and other community legal stakeholders to articulate our position.
