NCOSS held consultations on Monday and Wednesday of this week to help inform the structure of the social and affordable housing fund it is working to establish in partnership with the NSW Government and Infrastructure Partnerships Australia.

It was great to see many people come to the sessions with great ideas and a willingness to work together to achieve great outcomes.

It was great to hear innovative ideas about how the fund could best achieve outcomes for people, what outcomes people needed and we had excellent feedback about the particular needs of rural and regional NSW.

The next step will be pulling this together into a report to the NSW Government to ensure they have the full benefit of the expertise of the sector and key stakeholders in the development of the fund.

We’ll keep you posted on progress of this report and what comes next!

Thanks to everyone who came along and participated, your feedback will help ensure people experiencing poverty and disadvantage get the very best out of this initiative.
