B Miles Women's Foundation is a Specialist Homelessness Service (SHS) that provides support and accommodation programs to women who are experiencing homelessness who are impacted by mental ill-health. Programs include crisis accommodation, transitional housing, and outreach support. We are seeking Casual Support Workers for B Miles Supported Accommodation (Darlinghurst) and Outreach Services (based in Edgecliff).

Position details
Essential Selection Criteria:
  • Qualifications in a related discipline (social sciences, health, psychology, social work, or community services)
  • Experience in providing residential support to individuals with complex needs particularly needs associated with homelessness, mental health and psychiatric disability
  • Experience in implementing WH&S, risk management and duty of care protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • B Miles Women's Foundation holds an exemption under the Anti-Discrimination Act and employs women only
Other Information:


  • Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 Level 4
  • Hourly rate is $38.64 (including casual loading) plus shift penalties


  • Variable
  • For our residential service; shifts include day, afternoon/evening, sleepovers and weekends
  • For outreach work; Monday to Friday business hours
