Finance and Administration Support Officer

Provide an efficient and responsive administration and finance support to the Centre.
The Administration and Finance Support Officer is responsible for undertaking administration, clerical, payroll and finance functions of the Community Centre.
a. Manage payroll including fortnightly processing, distribution of payslips, monthly reconciliation and leave provisions
b. Reconcile superannuation and remit to funds
c. Assist Manager with maintenance of secure HR files
d. Record all income and expenditure in the accounting system, coding to appropriate income/expense accounts and cost centres. Manage accruals (eg. for grant income) and prepayments. e. Process payments to suppliers in a timely manner
f. Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient operating funds available while maximising interest returns
g. Reconcile bank accounts regularly; file reconciliation reports with bank-issued statements for Treasurer’s review each month
h. Maintain petty cash – ensure compliance with policy and reconcile regularly
i. Undertake or oversee cash receipts and banking
j. Maintain CECAL asset register on purchase/disposal of assets, record depreciation
k. Finalise accounts ready for monthly reporting by 15th of the following month
l. Prepare IAS and BAS returns by the due date
m. Review profit and loss reports for each cost centre, and balance sheet monthly for accuracy and completeness
