Program Manager (Family Violence)
Why this role matters:
This position is responsible for the oversight and leadership of family violence accommodation and associated programs at Catherine Haven Broken Hill to support the journey to recovery for women and children experiencing family violence.
Responsibilities include operational oversight of specialist family violence accommodation, complex case management and outreach services; leading risk management on a range of internal practices, policies, and guidelines, building strong partnerships with other service providers and government bodies, and leading a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to respond to and prevent family violence.
About the role:
We are seeking a values-driven and proactive PROGRAM MANAGER at CATHERINE HAVEN FAMILY VIOLENCE SERVICE. Reporting to the state manager, this is a PERMANENT, FULL-TIME position.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS 7. Significant remote area salary packaging benefits are available to increase take-home pay. You will successfully:
Ensure services are inclusive, accessible and responsive for our diverse clients
Deliver operational/local plans aligned to state and national agendas
Oversee practice and service delivery, including establishing program specific systems and processes for service delivery
Manage services in accordance with funding body contractual requirements
Responsibility for all operational aspects of the program including program budgets, finances, building and assets
Undertake Manager on-call duties and oversee on-call response service delivery
Undertake line management, performance management, supervision and professional development planning for frontline team
Plan for compliance with accreditation requirements and support accreditation assessments
You will have:
Degree qualification in social work and/or related field and/or demonstrated relevant experience
Significant experience in managing and overseeing case management and outreach support services – experience in the family violence sector is a strong advantage
Experience in managing or coordinating supported accommodation settings – experience in the family violence sector accommodation setting is an advantage
Significant experience in implementing strategy, risk management and human resources
Well-developed liaison and communication skills, including the ability to consult and negotiate with relevant leaders in agencies in the service sector and the public
Valid Working with Children Check and willingness to undergo a national police check as part of the recruitment process
