Support Worker
Your Role Provide vital support to women and families experiencing domestic violence/crisis. Assist in the entry and assessment of new clients at the refuge and in the daily running of the site. You will be joining a supportive and inclusive environment for both our clients and employees. We value teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning to ensure the highest level of care and support for our clients.
- Provide respectful, client-centered support aligned with trauma-informed care principles.
- Assist with client assessments, case plan implementation, and day-to-day site operations.
- Foster a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring compliance with WHS standards
- Maintain accurate records and liaise with case management to meet client needs. Support activities, advocacy, and transport for clients as required.
You Will Need:

- Appropriate Certificate or equivalent experience or currently undertaking tertiary study, in a related field.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to use sound judgement and act appropriately in crisis and emergency situations.
- Ability to maintain an ethical, yet non-judgmental, attitude towards residents and staff, and commitment to this.
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation as it relates to the workplace.
- Ability to work a rotating roster covering day & afternoon shifts
- Current first aid & safe food handlers certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current NSW driver licence.
