Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Desirable : Adult Learning Qualification Cert 1V in Workplace Training and Assessment and / or Substantial work experience in an adult learning environment / Or other relevant qualifications

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Australian Citizenship or Residency
Current NSW Driver’s licence
Position subject to a national Criminal History Check clearance and a Valid Working With Children Check clearance
Successful applicants are required to provide evidence of vaccination against COVID-19, or proof of medical exemption

Essential Criteria

The Role:

This is an incredibly exciting time to join our team in supporting the OOSH sector workforce to grow and develop. The Learning & Development Specialist will have a key role in building and expanding the training section of Network.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

Leadership in the delivery of professional learning and training courses specific to the OOSH sector, through various modes including live webinars, online learning on demand, tailored training, conferences, masterclasses, podcasts etc,
Leadership and management of a team of trainers (part time employees) opportunity to grow and expand the team.
Review of current training programs and development/research for new programs which would be responsive to OOSH sector needs and accreditation standards
Developing training resource packs including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, assessment and evaluation plans and program handbooks
Preparing reports for the CEO and Board and for various authorities on courses content, evaluation and participants including students in qualifications programs

SKILLS AND ABILITIES required:

Experience in the delivery of training programs for adult learners
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a learning and assessment environment
Knowledge of RTO requirements
Demonstrated experience in the administration of student enrolment records
(Desirable) Experience using Job Ready or a similar student management platform
High level verbal and written communication skills, with experience in leading presentations to adult learners

In addition, you will be able to:
Work independently and within a team environment
Exercise discretion, judgement and confidentiality
Develop and manage key relationships, including the ability to consult and communicate effectively with L&D facilitators, sector membership, government auditors and the Board.

CONTRACT TERMS AND BENEFITS

Minimum 28 hours per week negotiable, 12 month contract with potential for position to be made ongoing

SCHADS award LEVEL 5-6 plus Superannuation and leave loading.

Network of Community Activities (“Network”) is a recognised leader in the field of school age care and the largest membership organisation in Australia dedicated to the advocacy, promotion, resourcing and development of play, recreation and leisure activities for 5-14 year olds.

Network provides information, advocacy, training and support for organisations and individuals working in the Out of School Hours Care Care sector. Network is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
