Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant comparable experience in community development work
Essential Criteria
Demonstrated skills in planning, developing and implementing activities for children, youth and families
Demonstrated skills in running centre based and/or outreach activities
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of stakeholders
Understanding of strengths-based practice.
Confident and effective facilitation skills
Proven ability to develop good relationships with the community·
Unrestricted drivers’ licence and own comprehensively insured vehicle
Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends, nights and public holidays
Current NSW Working with Children’s Check (paid work) and National Police Check
High level of skills in Microsoft office
Desirable Criteria
Ability to speak a community language
Knowledge and experience working with Indigenous communities
Experience working with family violence clients
Working with people living with substance abuse
Knowledge of the local communities’ issues
