Senior Coordinator - Practice and Supervision
Blue Knot Foundation is the National Centre for Excellence for Complex Trauma. We empower recovery and build resilience for the more than 1 in 4 Australian adults who experience the impacts of complex trauma. Our role is to develop and disseminate best practice and research evidence around complex trauma, build national workforce capacity around complex trauma treatment, trauma-informed practice and managing vicarious trauma and embed trauma-informed policy, practice and systems change within organisations and the community.
The role of Blue Knot Foundation’s Senior Coordinator, Supervision and Practice coordinates the delivery of trauma-informed supervision, reflective practice and counselling for practitioners. This role is key in providing both internal and external support in the facilitation of this program stream.
The main duties will include receiving all supervision enquiries, matching, and preparing documentation for the contracts, implementing quality improvement processes across the program and evaluation of service provision. Developing practice models and tools for the program, recruitment and ongoing support of supervisors and involvement in business planning and growth of the program. There is also a role in more widely supporting the training and services portfolio which is in an exciting period of growth and development.
Selection Criteria
Essential
- 7 years minimum experience working in a therapeutic context with people who have experienced complex trauma
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills related to the complex trauma field, current research and best practice
- Understanding of the health and human service sectors supporting people experiencing complex trauma, vicarious trauma and trauma-informed practice
- Understanding of and experience in facilitating trauma-informed supervision and reflective practice
- High level stakeholder engagement, management and communication skills including conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated time management and planning skills
- Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills and an ability to manage difficult conversations
- Proficiency in MS Office and database systems
- Previous leadership experience and experience managing programs
- Capacity and willingness to travel
