WHOS is seeking a fulltime AOD Community Service Worker to join our men’s residential program, Gunyah, based at Lilyfield NSW. The role involves:

1. assessment, referral, and education,
2. supervising and supporting clients in a residential setting,
3. delivering a structured daily program (which includes facilitating various process and groups),
4. conducting therapeutic interventions

Remuneration:

• Remuneration is in accordance with the SCHADS Award.
• Salary packaging is available.

Essential Criteria

APPLICANTS MUST RESPOND TO THE SELECTION CRITERIA BELOW

1. Certificate IV or higher in AOD, Community Services, Mental Health (or similar)
2. Available to work rotating day, evening and weekend shifts as required.
3. Ability to facilitate groups.
4. Experience in or knowledge of residential treatment services.
5. Experience in working with clients that have AOD and associated conditions.
6. Knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation strategies.
