Alcohol and Other Drugs Worker WHOS West - Penrith
WHOS provides a range of alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment programs in NSW and Queensland. Information on WHOS’ services can be found at www.whos.com.au.
We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and motivated person to join WHOS West team located in Penrith to help us reconnect individuals integrating into the broader communities. WHOS West provides an inclusive and diverse culture, assessment and referral services to people exiting withdrawal management, safe halfway housing with case management, group based AOD education and support.
The successful applicant will be experienced in:
- assessment and referral services
- case management, one to one support and groupwork
- providing AOD information and education sessions
- liaison with allied service providers
- the use of electronic information management systems including electronic client file and data management, with strong administration and written communication skills

Selection Criteria:
- Qualifications in AOD, Human Services, Community Services, or related fields
- Experience working in AOD, mental health or a related field
- Networking experience
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current driver's license and satisfactory WHOS driver declaration
- Knowledge of AOD Harm Reduction approach
- Knowledge of AOD, health and human sector services in the Nepean Blue Mountains region
Remuneration:
- As per the SCHADSI Award based on qualifications and experience.
- Salary packaging available.
- Please note this position is offered on a fixed term contract basis to 30 June 2026, extension is based on ongoing funding.
