Celebrating the Sector! Awards 2021

Thank you to Australian Public Affairs, for sponsoring our individual award categories!

NCOSS wants to say thank-you to our sector for delivering essential, frontline services in local communities, while dealing with the challenges COVID-19 threw at us.

And because nothing says “thanks" like some extra cash, we want those fabulous organisations who provided on the ground services, and kept people safe and connected, to nominate their workers for our Celebrating the Sector! Awards. Workers – who include volunteers – may also nominate their colleagues.

There are three categories for individual workers, each with a $250 prize up for grabs, and a $1,000 team prize.

Nominate someone amazing for our Celebrating the Sector! Awards:

  1. Workers employed by frontline service providers located in West and South West Sydney (ie: the 11 “LGAs of concern” and the 12 suburbs in the Penrith LGA)
  2. Workers employed by frontline service providers that are Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs)
  3. Workers employed by frontline service providers located in rural, regional or remote NSW

Nominate an outstanding team for our Celebrating the Sector! Awards:

Winners from each category, including the team prize, will be selected by a random draw. Nominations are now open and close at 11.59pm on Tuesday, 23 November 2021. Winners will be announced at the 2021 NCOSS AGM and Celebrating the Sector! event.

The fine print:

  • An individual worker may be nominated in all of the categories they are eligible for.
  • However, a nominated worker’s name will only go into the draw once for each category.
  • For individual winners, we may run checks to ensure that they are employed by an eligible organisation.
  • For the team prize, we may run checks to ensure the organisation is eligible.
  • A redraw will take place if NCOSS decides that the winner of any individual category, or the team prize, is not eligible.
  • NCOSS’ decision on these matters is final.
