Did you know nearly 3 million Australians now live below the poverty line?

Anti-Poverty Week is held every year to raise awareness and understanding of the causes and consequences of poverty and hardship around the world and in Australia and encourage research, discussion and action to address these problems.

We need as many people as possible to hear about what poverty looks like in Australia and why it needs to change.

Can you help?

We've created the below signs and we want you to either download one we've already created or download one which lets you fill in your own message - it's up to you!

Then take a photo of yourself, your colleagues, your friends or family holding the sign and share it on your social media platform of choice! Just remember to use the hashtag #APW2016 so we get to see it too.

Together we can start to change the experience of poverty in Australia.
