The Manager of the Connecting Neighbourhood Centres of Bellingen Shiree Inc (NCoBS) is responsible for the overall operation, strategic direction, and day-to-day management of the NCoBS’ centres, services, programs and projects.  This includes managing a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring compliance with funding and regulatory requirements, and delivering services, programs and projects that meet the needs of the local community.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in community services, social work, management or related fields

 

Essential Criteria

·         Proven experience in community development or NFP sector

·         Strong leadership and staff/volunteer supervision skills

·         Experience in program planning, evaluation and community engagement

·         Sound financial and budget management skills

·         Knowledge of governance, risk management and compliance requirements

·         Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

·         Sound understanding of trauma-informed practice and the ability to shape a trauma-informed organisation

·         Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing/conflicting demands

·         Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)

·         National Police Check

·         Current Driver’s Licence

·         Registered vehicle with comprehensive insurances

Desirable Criteria

·         Tertiary qualifications in community services, social work, management or related fields.

·         Understanding of issues affecting vulnerable populations.

The Connecting Neighbourhood Centres of Bellingen Shire (NCoBS) Inc is looking for a Manager who is responsible for the overall operation, strategic direction, and day-to-day management of its centres, services, programs and projects.

The job is part-time 28 hours per week, to be worked flexibly over 4 days per week (7 hours per day), with the wage based on the SCHADS Level 7.  The position services all parts of Bellingen LGA (Urunga, Bellingen, Dorrigo), so there will be regular travelling involved.  Relevant qualifications &/or experience are essential.
