NCOSS Calls on the Federal Government to Commit to Fair Pay for Social Services Workers this International Women's Day

Ahead of International Women’s Day, NCOSS and Women’s Alliance are calling on the Federal Government to commit to renewing vital funding for the highly feminised community service sector. The funding in question is the Equal Remuneration Order supplementation, which was put in place to ensure workers in this sector, made up of 80% women, were fairly paid. The funding is due to expire on 30 June 2021, and the Federal Government has not yet committed to extending it. Read the full media release here.
