Two articles Could flexible work be damaging the lives of your staff? and Your sons and your daughters: mental health in the age of overtime look at current work practices that can have detrimental impacts on mental health.  Research on flexible working hours has found people have a tendency to work more overtime hours if they are working flexibly, which in some cases has lead to unintended consequences including reinforcing gender inequity and poor mental health.
