The NSW Human Services Agreement (HSA) was adopted on 1 August 2017. The HSA was developed by the NSW Government Social Innovation Council (SIC), with considerable consultation, to empower the NGO sector by making it easier for the sector to do business with government and creating more transparent funding arrangements.
At the NCOSS 2017 Regional Conferences, we partnered with the Department of Finance, Services and Innovation to present an update on the work of the SIC. The session gave community sector leaders the opportunity to learn about the key steps in the procurement process, and what the HSA means for their organisation.
Existing contracts will not be affected until they expire. FACS, who holds the highest number of human services contracts, will be rolling out the agreement with the expiry of current contracts. For more info and FAQs, visit the FACS website
