About the role:

LWRC is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the position of Service Manager, 21 hours per week. Classification SCHADS Level 7.

The Manager is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the service under the guidance of, and reporting to, the Management Committee. Principle areas of responsibility include day to day management of the service, human resource, financial and risk management, promotion, partnerships, quality improvement, and compliance with key performance indicators, funding bodies and legislative requirements.

Your objectives are:

  • To provide strategic leadership within LWRC including governance, service delivery and partnerships.
  • To develop sustainable collaborative partnerships with community services, networks and other inter agencies.
  • To generate and contribute to community building activities that build the capacity of women, especially woman who are marginalised by poverty, violence, social disadvantage and social isolation.

Your day to day responsibilities would be (but not limited to):

  • Provide support, guidance, direction and leadership to staff and the organisation.
  • Maintain accurate, transparent financial systems and ensure timely and accurate accountability.
  • Ensure LWRC is compliant with all relevant laws, regulation, standards, contracts, service agreements, accountabilities and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the preparation of funding submissions for LWRC as deemed appropriate.
  • Continue to grow the service with a positive and feminist approach.

Liverpool Women’s Resource Centre (LWRC) puts women first by providing necessary services such as intimate support group, practical program and activities, drop in counselling and advocacy/referral support for our women and children within the area.

Why LWRC? Because it is our business to improve women’s knowledge about modern rights, provide them access to resources that they may not know about and equip them with skills and knowledge to become more confident in themselves and improve the status of women in the community. We do this by partnering with other women’s services and non-government agencies to build a strong, active and progressive service for the women of the Liverpool LGA.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications/Training/Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience working in the sector
  • Knowledge and experience of women’s service delivery within a feminist framework
  • Management experience with a focus on service development, human resource management.
  • Sound knowledge of financial management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in service expansion
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills, including excellent written and oral skills
  • Proven ability to think and plan strategically, problem solve, develop and maintain relationships with community and government stakeholders and external partners
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Own vehicle and current driver’s license
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to work weekends/evenings as required
  • Valid WWCC
  • Maintain clear police check
