Qualifications:

Your Opportunity

We are seeking two organised and experienced Housing Officers to join our established tenancy management team in the heart of Western Sydney.

In these pivotal positions, you’ll be instrumental in delivering a wide range of tenancy and property management services to clients on low to moderate incomes and clients with complex needs.

Reporting to the Regional Leader and the Team Leader, you will be the leading force managing complex cases and tenants in the bid to make a difference in the lives of Australians in need.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lease vacant properties by conducting signups for tenancies ensuring that all required documentation are thoroughly and accurately completed
  • Work with tenants to assist and support them in sustaining their tenancies
  • Carry out property inspections of all properties periodically and as needed
  • Attend court/tribunal hearings where necessary to represent the interest of the organisation
  • Ensure tenancy and property records are kept up to date and information meets the organisations and Regulatory standards 
  • Maintain positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Actively contribute to developing and implementing strategies that connect tenants to additional support
Essential Selection Criteria:

Requirements for Succes

  • Tenancy experience within the real estate industry or Community Housing providers
  • Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable client groups and understanding of the needs of people on low incomes
  • Excellent initiative, the ability to work autonomously and the drive to achieve set KPIs
  • Open and flexible work style and the abilty to work in a fast-paced environment  with changing workloads
  • Exceptional time management, organisational ability and priorotisation skills
  • Ability to travel within Greater Western Sydney region (Blacktown to the Blue Mountains)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Current Driver’s License and a WWCC are essential and a Senior First Aid Certificate
