Garden Care Support Worker - Part Time

This is a part time position at 25.5 hours per week – to be worked over 3 days (Monday & 2 other days), with the opportunity to work an extra Saturday morning once per month.

We are a community based Organisation with an established presence in the City of Canterbury Bankstown and Inner West Council area since 1972. We have a strong commitment to social justice and work closely with the communities in the Inner West to improve access to services and quality of life of local residents.

You will need qualifications in horticulture, demonstrated experience in easy care gardening and lawn mowing and an empathy and understanding of issues affecting frail older people. The position involves leading teams of volunteers so you will need an understanding of volunteer issues. As this is a physical job a reasonable level of fitness is expected.

Our Office is based in the culturally diverse suburb of Lakemba, close to Public Transport and some of the best restaurants Sydney has to offer.
