Part Time Counsellor

The position will involve work on the Blue Knot Helpline as well as providing case management support to survivors who are applying for the Redress Scheme via telephone and Skype.

The Blue Knot Helpline is the only specialist telephone counselling service in Australia for adult survivors of all forms of complex childhood trauma. The Helpline provides short-term counselling, support, psycho education, information and referrals to survivors, and to the people who support them personally and professionally.

Most of the work is performed from the Blue Knot Foundation office every day between 8.30am – 5.30pm. There will be the occasional sessions booked between 5.30 – 7.30 to accommodate our work in Western Australia.   No other evening or overnight shift work is required. Shifts will include 7.5 hour shifts on week days and 4.5 hour shifts on the weekends. Counsellors are additionally able to apply for shifts on the Debriefing roster over the weekends.
