The Role

We are seeking an experienced and organised person for a busy office. The person will be a team player who provides skilled administrative support, be responsible for administering programs, create a positive atmosphere and efficiently run the admin office. 

Duties include

  • Computer work using Centre software
  • Banking, purchasing and petty cash
  • Reception and customer service
  • Operating all office equipment
  • Setting up for groups that may include lifting of tables, chairs and equipment
  • Processing of queries, bookings and information

Position details
Essential Selection Criteria:
  • Relevant administrative qualifications and/or administrative experience
  • Strong organisational and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and work without direct supervision within the framework of the Centre’s operational systems
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing administration and financial systems
  • Proficient computer skills together with qualifications and /or extensive knowledge of computer software particularly Microsoft Office, use of Email and Internet and ability to learn to use new software as required.
  • High degree of accuracy in performing work tasks
  • Sensitivity to all sections of the community
  • Demonstrated strengths in interpersonal skills
  • Current First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Clearance or willing to obtain.
Desirable Selection Criteria:
  • Relevant experience in Community Services Sector
  • Familiar with City of Canada Bay Local Government Area
