Your Opportunity

Due to an exciting growth period, we have a brand new opportunity for an Asset Maintenance & Compliance Officer to join our Coffs Harbour team and manage maintenance requests whilst building good working relationships with tenants (which includes monitoring the invoicing process) to achieve positive outcomes in accordance with community housing guidelines.

Similarly, you will be required to form good working relationships with contractors and will manage contractor work order delivery compliance to specification (including carrying out systematic inspections of contractor works). This will involve identifying and highlighting works defects/non‐compliances as well as undertaking property assessment surveys and defining scope of works for assets.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide high quality customer service ensuring that all clients are given positive and supportive outcomes to meet their needs and taking account of MAH asset management policies, procedures and imperatives
  • Systematically audit outsourced maintenance contractors to ensure compliance with WHS, environmental management and code of conduct requirements
  • Undertake Regular inspections to ensure properties are managed from a repairs and maintenance and stock condition point of view
  • Assist the MAH team maintain good governance and administration by keeping accurate records, files and information to the relevant systems and provides accurate information to management

Qualifications:

Requirements for Success

  • Experience and ability to identify maintenance issues and triage appropriately
  • Experience and ability to understand maintenance and building contracts
  • Excellent administration, attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively with tenants, contractors and others within the community
  • Knowledge and experience in maintenance delivery, property site inspection visits and assess maintenance works
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of LAHC schedule of rates and technical specifications is desirable
