Team Leader - Family Support Service 
Permanent Part time 35 Hours per week, Mon-Friday, Contract position for 12 months.
SCHADS Award, Wage and working days are negotiable with access to PBI
Riverwood Community Centre (RCC) is looking for an experienced and innovative team Leader in its Family Support Service. RCC is a long well established multi program Centre in South West Sydney, providing a range of services across the region for over 40 years.
The Family Support Service provide a range of programs and activities aiming to enhance families’ capacity to support the growth and development of all family members accordingly.

Key responsibilities:
•    Lead and  develop a clear focus for an empowered, motivated and effective family support team
•    Provide  professional supervision and program management
•    Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of service delivery in accordance with relevant guidelines and service specification.
•    Promotion and development of the service, including expanding networking opportunities
•    Ability to manage balancing priorities and deadlines including referrals and case allocation  and data reporting 
•    Facilitate Family Support programs and workshops collaboratively with other team members.

Position details

 Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Science, Community Welfare or other relevant areas

Essential Selection Criteria:

Essential criteria include:
•    Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Science, Community Welfare or other relevant areas
•    Strong understanding of child protection risks, safety planning and early 
Intervention and prevention for families and children.
•    Strong leadership experience with the ability to develop and engage effectively with minimum two years’ experience. 
•    Experience in program planning, group facilitation and training.
•     Ability to identify, initiate and develop relationships in collaboration  with other stakeholders
•    Ability to implement strategies in case management, processes appropriately to meet the families and children’s needs.
•    Strong Knowledge and understanding of the TEI Reform 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Current driver’s license and own vehicle
•    Current working with the children  and criminal record check
•    A community language would be an advantage.
