Riverwood Community Centre is well established community based organisation and  not-for-profit service provider. We are looking for a part time youth service case worker

The candidate need to be enthusiastic, energetic willing to make a positive change in   young people’s life with the ability  to support and  inspire, willing to offer young people with  an opportunity to learn new skills, become great leaders.
the Youth  Case Worker  will support  young people through case management to overcome challenges to multiple barriers with the aim of assisting young people to achieve the best possible outcome.

This role involves working with young in both individual and group based activities including:

  • Workshops & Group work
  • Case management
  • Referral to access other relevant services based on the individual needs

To be successful in this role you will be required to obtain a satisfactory Criminal check and a Working with the children check.

Qualifications:

Tertiary qualifications in Social Work /diploma in community welfare

Essential Selection Criteria:

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work /diploma in community welfare
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • An understanding of the issues facing young people
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check/criminal check
  • Previous experience in case management, working with complex needs
  • Strong knowledge and understanding in working with young people and their families from CALD background.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the TEI
  • Proven ability to build rapport and motivate young people
Desirable Selection Criteria:

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience and skills in conducting client assessments and case management
  • 2nd language would be an advantage
Other Information:
