Project Coordinator, Sexual, Domestic and Family Violence

Position details
Essential Selection Criteria:
  • Knowledge of the issues involved in preventing and responding to LGBTI domestic and family violence/sexual assault.
  • Previous experience in domestic and family violence work in one or more of the following areas:
    • policy development
    • research and evaluation design and implementation
    • delivering training or adult education
    • Direct client work with victims/survivors and/or people that use abuse
  • Demonstrated understanding and extensive experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of health promotion and community development projects.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills including computer literacy and social media capability.
  • High level written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate with a range of stakeholders and demonstrated ability to produce professional documents, briefings and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability in community consultation and the ability to represent the organisation in a range of forums.
  • Understanding of and commitment to ACON’s communities, particularly LGBTI people and people living with HIV.
Other Information:

This is a full time position (35 hours/week) offered on an 18 month fixed-term contract.

The salary range for this position is $76K - $80K* (pro rata) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.

*Please note that, upon approval by the Fair Work Commission of ACON’s Proposed Enterprise Agreement, the range will increase to $82K - $87K.

You may also elect to salary package a portion of your salary (up to $30,000 gross-up value) tax-free.
