Counsellor within the Early Intervention Services program is available as a part time (days negotiable), ongoing position based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
Reporting to the Early Intervention Services Manager, Counsellor will provide counselling services, community education/development and case management activities to families, individuals, couples and communities in rural locations within a 200 km radius of RACR’s Wagga Wagga office. This service aims to engage with rural communities and provide services that meet community and family needs, to enable building of respectful and supportive relationships. This Relationships Australia Rural Service (RARS) is funded by the Presentation Sisters Nagle Foundation.
To be successful in this role, you are required to possess:
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, counselling or other relevant field.
- Ability to demonstrate a broad theoretical approach to relationship counselling (including systems theory) and demonstrate an understanding of the theoretical and practice frameworks applicable to family violence and therapeutic interventions.
- Demonstrated experience in counselling, trauma and child inclusive practice, family and domestic violence, crisis intervention models, grief and loss and child development.

Salary & Benefits
The salary on offer is in the range of $76,956.26 to $81,997.35 per annum plus superannuation for full time. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), RACR employees also receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities, thus significantly increasing the value of your take-home pay.
According to the RACR Enterprise Agreement, the successful candidate will have access to generous leave provisions, annual leave loading, special paid leave during annual holiday shutdown period and flexible working arrangements.
