WILMA currently has a position for a Counsellor/Group Facilitator:-   
•    3 days per week (21 hours) this is a 12 month position to fill a maturnity leave position
The wage for the position is in accordance with SCHADS award Level 5. Being a woman is a genuine requirement for this position as per S31(2)(H) of the Anti-discrimination Act (1977)

About us

WILMA Women’s Health Centre is a women only service located in Campbelltown providing information, casework, counselling, group work, medical and allied health services, to women living in the Macarthur area. Services at WILMA are delivered through an integrated care pathway approach by a cohesive dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to feminist principles.

Position details

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology or equivalent with appropriate professional membership

Essential Selection Criteria:

Selection Criteria:
•    Relevant tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology or equivalent with appropriate professional membership.
•    Well-developed clinical skills with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, with a knowledge and understanding of post natal depression, domestic and family violence and sexual assault counselling
•    Minimum of 2 years demonstrated trauma informed counselling
•    Demonstrated commitment and understanding of a feminist approach to women’s health and well being
•    A pro-feminist approach to understanding and working with domestic and family violence and the impact  on women and children 
•    Demonstrated understanding of domestic and family violence, its complexities and consequences, in a broad range of cultural and social contexts.
•    Demonstrated experience providing therapeutic support to vulnerable women in a counselling or group setting
•    Demonstrated experience  in group work facilitation and program development
•    High level of written and verbal communication skills, and proficient computer skills 
•    Current driver’s license and own motor vehicle

Desirable Selection Criteria:

Desirable Criteria
•    Experience in the provision of culturally sensitive groups to Aboriginal and CALD women
•    Experience working collaboratively with other services to achieve positive outcomes for women
•    Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Other Information:

A Working with Children check number will be required, and a National Police Check will be required for the preferred applicants
