In this role, you will be working within our Aged and Disability Care Service (ADC), which provides a range of services to the aged and disability clients. The primary function is to play a vital role as the office receptionist as well as provide a range of administrative task to support the day-to-day running of a busy office. This role is based at our Fairfield office and reports to the Admin Team Leader.

CORE Community Services (CORE) is a large non-profit community organisation which delivers a wide range of services and programs to residents in Fairfield, Liverpool and Bankstown local government areas. CORE provides services to the aged, young people, women, Indigenous Australians, migrant communities, newly arrived refugees and children.

Position details
Qualifications:

Formal qualification in Business administration or similar.

Essential Selection Criteria:

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Greeting and supporting visitors.
  • Monitoring and managing incoming phone calls.
  • Sorting and distribution of mail including post and emails.
  • Provide administrative support to the team or as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Assist and prepare written communication including correspondence, emails, letters, memos, and other documents.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure the smooth running of the admin task within the office.
  • Financial admin task as directed.
  • General admin task and all other task as directed by the supervisor.

To be considered for the position, you must have proven experience in the following areas:

  • 2 years or more experience in similar role
  • Relevant industry experience will be highly regarded.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on written documentation and verbal communication
  • Communications must be culturally appropriate and tailored according to the Client's needs
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • High level skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and Internet Explorer.
  • Ability to multi‐task and work in a well organised manner, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of transparency, privacy and confidentiality in regards to clients, staff and business matters.
