UNSW Global is seeking to appoint 2 Student Advisers to provide a range of support services to all UNSW Global students, across the student lifecycle, related to welfare and academic progression. As part of the Student Support team, the Student Adviser will run orientation sessions, case manage individual student matters and advise on policies and procedures. The Student Adviser is responsible for making effective referrals as required and works with the Student Support Manager in handling critical incidents. Please note that this not a counselling role.


The successful applicant will have:


  • A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. social work/welfare, education or psychology) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
  • The ability to work independently and as a cohesive team member
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse students and communicate information to students in a clear and concise manner

We are seeking to appoint at least one Student Adviser who can speak fluent mandarin.
