About us

The Haven - Nepean Women’s Shelter is a new crisis accommodation service for up to 6 women with or without dependent children, who are experiencing homelessness due to domestic violence, or other issues. The service is expected to begin to house people early in the new year and will operate primarily in usual business hours with an 'on-call' facility to ensure women and children can access the service after hours.

The Haven is dedicated to supporting and empowering women to take control and move on with their lives. Our clients are supported with client-centric case management and are encouraged to pursue opportunities to find financial security. An understanding of the homelessness sector, awareness around current issues and practice in domestic violence and good knowledge of housing pathways are key skills for this role.
