The Ted Noffs Foundation is currently seeking an experienced Social Services Project Manager to plan, manage and support the delivery of our drug, alcohol and other youth programs. The role will be an executive level position working with the senior member to manage the large number of programs we deliver. The role will be varied working with Stakeholders, Program Managers and Staff. This could suit a manager wanting to move towards a project management focussed role working with the executive.

The successful candidate will enjoy being challenged by the range of programs being delivered by Noffs across several locations. Your enthusiasm and experience will ensure that the units are monitored to be on track in delivering their KPIs. Your exceptional communication skills means successfully liaising and working with our funding bodies and ensuring our progress is accurately reported. You will have a thorough knowledge related to social services, youth services, and drug and alcohol programs, and clearly understand the mission, values and role of Noffs including its policies, procedures, programs and services, and can effectively communicate this understanding to staff and the community. Your tenacity will ensure that any program challenges are triaged and addressed effectively and in a timely manner to ensure a smooth implementation and delivery of our service contracts.

Responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to:

  • Providing leadership and strategic direction to multidisciplinary teams across different units and locations.
  • Ensuring the services are developed and delivered to the highest standards in accordance with agreed models and funding agreements.
  • Stakeholder management and developing ongoing strategic sector and community relationships.
  • Monitoring and ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed by all staff and program participants.
  • Monitoring data including analysis and statistics.
  • Developing high quality, comprehensive reports and administrative documentation.
  • Providing oversight and direction to ensure that clients are receiving services that represent best practices.
  • Assisting in professional development of staff.

Essential Criteria

  • Recognised tertiary qualifications.
  • Extensive experience in drugs and alcohol and/or community services sector.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability in successfully managing and delivering funded programs.
  • Proficient collaborator skills; adept in identifying opportunities and taking action to build strategic relationships to help achieve organisation and program goals.
  • Ability to identify and understand underlying issues to complex problems and effectively identify strategies to help troubleshoot and address these issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and in a variety of contexts.
  • A clear understanding of change management principles and their implementation.
  • Adept at working with various types of project management software to implement the aims of the role.
  • Commitment to the principles of harm minimisation and to the aims, policies and models of practice of the Ted Noffs Foundation.
  • Must have a current and valid NSW Working With Children Check and Driver Licence.
  • Successful candidate must be willing to complete a Police Check.

Other Information

Type: 1 year fixed-term contract with view to extend

Location: Randwick NSW (initial location) with the expectation to regularly visit Noffs units

Remuneration: Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Award 2010 (Level 6) + full salary packaging options available
