Team Leader
The Team Leader at the Women’s Shelter Armidale Inc. (WSA) will provide leadership to the team of skilled support workers and enable them to do their work effectively and efficiently. She will assist the Manager to deliver the organisations programs and services to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence (DFV) and homelessness.
Working closely with the Manager the Team Leader will plan the delivery of effective services and deliver on WSA quality assurance goals. She will provide supervision, guidance, and directives to team members, plan and implement professional development activities and providing direct supervision to support staff, ensure that WSA client services team function in an ethical, effective, and efficient manner. The Team Leader will contribute to building a culturally safe service culture for Aboriginal, culturally and linguistically diverse and LGBTIQ+ staff and clients.
The Team Leader will case manage a small number of complex high needs clients and facilitate interservice case coordination.
The successful applicant will be committed to eradicating domestic violence and homelessness and reducing the impacts of DFV on women and children. She will understand the complex nature of DFV, and homelessness and the strategies used to deliver effective outcomes.
Other key work will involve leading the delivery of the service’s Outcomes Measurement approach and contributing to ASES quality accreditation.
