The Sector Development Manager role leads L&D and workforce capability projects to enhance DFV sector capacity.  It also leads fee-for-service projects to promote awareness of DFV across the community and increase DVNSW’s revenue.  This revenue is directed back into supporting DVNSW members – specialist DFV services across NSW – to prevent and respond to DFV.

The Sector Development Manager is a senior role reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with others in the management team.  Key responsibilities of the role include:

·       Developing tools and resources to enhance the capacity of the DFV sector and build workforce capability

·       Increasing collaboration, and information-sharing of best practice tools and resources across the DFV sector

·       Developing DVNSW’s fee-for-service strategy, build fee-for-service clients and manage relationships with these clients

·       Developing DVNSW’s fee-for-service L&D content, including factsheets, videos, training and advice provision

·       Developing, piloting and rolling out a DVNSW training strategy covering the DFV sector and fee-for-service clients

·       Delivering training and/or managing contractors engaged to deliver training

·       Playing a lead role in DVNSW’s DFV primary prevention work (targeted at the whole population to stop DFV before it starts), through developing primary prevention-related tools, resources and training for specific organisations and communities

·       Identify relevant, government and private sector, grant and philanthropic income opportunities for the organisation

·       Complete applications for grant and philanthropic income, as required, to increase organisational revenue in line with strategic objectives

Flexible part-time (approx 30 hours per week)

Essential Criteria

To be suitable for this role, you would need:

·       At least 5 years’ experience in L&D roles, including experience developing tools, resources and training materials and in delivering training

·       Experience working in a not-for-profit organisation, preferably a peak or member organisation

·       Experience in the Domestic and Family Violence sector or aligned sectors

·       High-level experience in developing fee-for-service offerings to increase organisational revenue

·       Ability to present well when delivering training and meeting with senior stakeholders

·       Experience building and managing constructive relationships with key stakeholders

·       Flexibility and skills to step into areas outside of L&D and to manage senior-level responsibilities, according to organisational need

·       A strong commitment to working in social justice and feminist frameworks
