About Us

St Saviours Intensive Therapeutic Care service (ITC) provides a safe and nurturing environment for young people who may have complex behaviour and support needs. The team at ITC provides an alternative to the long-term model of care, focusing on recovery from trauma, the achievement of positive life outcomes, and a broad range of placement options for children and young people

Due to our organisational growth and increase in our client numbers serviced through our Permanency Support Program (Out Of Home Care) we are seeking to appoint a Full Time, House Manager to mentor and oversee our team of support staff.

As our House Manager, it's vital you've had at least 3 years' experience working within the Out of Home Care Program, in order to lead our teams successfully. You will work in partnership with the Therapeutic Specialist and the ITC Case Manager to ensure young people's Care Plans and Therapeutic Support plans facilitate their participation in activities and experiences that enhance developmental, cultural, social, and therapeutic outcomes.

About you

You are an experienced professional, and an established leader. You've looked after your own team for 3+ years just as well as you have overseen those in care. You're a trusted advisor, a tireless advocate, with empathy in spades. But you also have that crucial big-picture outlook. Your knowledge and experience in providing trauma-informed therapeutic care for young people, paired with your intimate knowledge of the challenges and issues faced by our Aboriginal communities will put you in good stead for this role.

More importantly, you are looking for that next opportunity that will support your plans to advance your career and see the real effects of the work that you do in the local community.

Reporting to the ITC Manager you will thrive in this role as you:

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the ITC home
  • Engage with young people to ensure their voices are heard and that they have input into daily living decisions as well as understanding their responsibilities and boundaries
  • Develop and maintain important external agency relationships with Family and Community Services
  • Supervise direct care staff and provide formal monthly reflective supervision.

Why us?

On offer is a great salary package, ($80,739 - $84,671 per annum, plus 9.5% employer superannuation guarantee), as well as additional benefits such as extra leave with training support and lots more. If you have enthusiasm for continuous improvement and a natural ability to inspire those around you to deliver high standards of work, we would love to hear from you.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants are welcome to contact Karen Kime (General Manager Cultural Safety) on 0428 534 725 for assistance in applying for this position.

Applicants will be required to undertake psychometric testing and undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to an offer of employment.
