Knowing that children in families on low-incomes are more likely to be above a healthy weight, how can we ensure an equitable response to child overweight and obesity? How do we stop the growing gap betweeh high and low income families? And what role does the community sector play in this response?

Hosted by NCOSS in partnership with Cancer Council NSW and Uniting, this forum will bring together academic experts and seasoned practitioners to discuss responses to child overweight and obesity. The forum will examine both the broad policy responses needed - and their impact on vulnerable families, as well practical initiatives that can support the clients and communities with whom we work to be a healthier weight.
