NCOSS "Leading in Crisis Recovery" Intro: Create Clarity and Focus for My Leadership Role

Leading our teams in returning to work after a significant crisis requires much thought and consideration. In roles where we are busy responding to constant demands, we rarely have the chance to pause and take a deep breath. This affects our ability to focus and to be clear on what we genuinely need "to be" for our teams, followed by what we need "to do" in a well-paced manner.

This 30-minute self-paced and reflective session is a fitting introduction to NCOSS' "Leading in Crisis Recovery" series. Read on for more.

Session description

This online session follows the principles of self-coaching and self-reflective learning.

To achieve real results, you will need to give yourself at least 30 minutes away from the pressures of daily work. You will also need to allocate a physical space that's conducive to self-reflection.

The online format

Pre-recorded segments will guide you through a series of questions that are aimed to help you gain focus and clarity around three key areas.

The user-friendly questionnaire tools enable you to record your answers, and to email them back to yourself (or copy and paste).

The Questions (and what you can potentially learn)

The insights you gain are only as good as the questions you are asked, and how authentically you answer them. The questions in this session's tools include:

1) Self-reflective questions

  • Part 1: ME
  • Part 3: MY TEAM

2) Questions to Ask Your Team

3) Your Action Plan

Who is it for?

This session would suit anyone in a leadership role in the not-for-profit sector: CEOs, service managers, senior team leaders, Board or management committee members.
