Working with Other Organisations: From MOUs to Mergers

What do you need to do before you work with another organisation? Are the words partnership, collaboration, joint-venture, amalgamation, MOU or merger floating around your organisation? Are you confident you understand these various working arrangements and what they might mean for your organisation?

The training is divided into two parts.

The aim of the first section is to think about the steps you will need to take before you integrate your work with another organisation, irrespective of what form of collaboration you decide to enter into.

The second part is to increase people’s understanding of the key options available when working with other organisations and the legal implications of each option. The advantages and disadvantages of each will be highlighted.

The training will also cover some of the potential legal issues that can arise when working with other organisations (e.g. such as issues relating to employment law or client information privacy) so as to help organisations avoid some of the unintended and possibly costly consequences that can arise when working with others.

The session will be presented by a senior policy officer from NCOSS and a lawyer from JusticeConnect’s Not-for-profit Law service.

Due to catering and booking commitments, cancellations made within 3 days (excluding weekends) of the course/event cannot be refunded.
