This is a great management opportunity of a multi faceted group of Caseworkers in our foster care team.

About Us

About the opportunity, CASPA is a not-for-profit organisation providing a range of specialised care services for youth with complex needs and for people with disabilities.  Our programs include supervised residential care provided under a therapeutic framework for young people who have complex needs and cannot live with their family.  This model also includes modalities of semi-independent living and supervised contact.  We also provide Foster Care which involves one or more child or young people living in a community integrated as a part of a family for a specified and agreed amount of time.  Plus we provide a range of Family Support programs that include supports under the NDIS, Indie Living, Respite Recovery, Mentoring, and Early-Intervention.  CASPA’s Permanency Support Program department oversee the Foster care needs and casework requirements of the organisation, the PSP Casework Manager reports directly to the Permanency Support Program Manager and will be responsible to management of all Caseworkers across CASPA’s Permanency Support Programs.

Position Details
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Diploma and/or Bachelor in Social Science, Social Work or other relevant qualification
Essential Selection Criteria:
  • A minimum of 5 years out of home care casework experience and casework management experience
  • A demonstrated thorough understanding of all Acts and regulations relevant to our of home care
  • A demonstrated understanding as to the reasons why quality casework is essential to organisational practices
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team of caseworkers and support staff
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with inter agency personnel
  • Advanced computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office software
Desirable Selection Criteria:

Case File Auditing experience 

Understanding of ISO9001 practice requirements
