Reduce your premiums: Apply for the Stamp Duty Exemption

Not for profit organisations can apply to be exempted from the 5% Stamp Duty that is currently applied to Insurance Premiums.

The Office of State Revenue has application forms for exemption from duty:

    web: www.osr.nsw.gov.au
    phone (Sydney): (02) 9685 2122
    phone (NSW): 1800 629 550

The exemption applies to 'a non-profit organisation having as one of its objects a charitable, benevolent, philanthropic or patriotic purpose' and can include playgroups, meals on wheels and senior citizens clubs.
